Biography

Michael is Partner at CYLAD, the #1 independent consulting boutique focused on technology intense industries. He is in charge for the Machinery, Software & Services (MSS) practice, specialized in industrial companies esp. machinery and electronics that combine high-tech machinery, proprietary software, and customer services into one integrated solution and business model.

Michael enables industrial companies to transform their operating model through integration of software and services. He brings deep expertise in navigating the complex interplay between hardware manufacturing, software development and services delivery but also support pure players in these segments. His services cover the whole spectrum of business transformation: from strategy to growth to operational performance improvement and cost reduction. His clients range from major international enterprises to mid-cap companies.

He holds an M.Sc. in Engineering from the Technical University of Applied Sciences of Cologne, an M.Sc. in Engineering from the Bergische University of Wuppertal, and a PhD from Technical University of Darmstadt in Corporate Finance. He was awarded international science prices, a PhD scholarship, and is author of several publications in prestigious journals.
