Biography

Sander Visser is the Managing Partner for Strategy& in the Netherlands and leads the Strategy& and Consulting healthcare practices. He specializes in payor–provider collaboration and hospital transformation, having guided numerous clients through large-scale transformation programs.

His work has focused on improving healthcare quality while reducing unnecessary demand to safeguard access—particularly critical in current times of pressing staff shortages. He co-developed an approach to eliminate overuse in healthcare that has consistently delivered results: lowering healthcare volumes by up to 15% while simultaneously improving quality and access. Since 2022, he has spearheaded innovative regional accountable care coalitions, successfully reshaping regional health systems to maintain both quality and accessibility in the face of staff shortages.

Visser joined Strategy& in 2011 and brings 25 years of strategy consulting experience. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Amsterdam.
